Clubdelisa – Hwang So-hee, better known by her stage name DJ Soda, has taken the global electronic dance music (EDM) industry by storm. Born on April 7, 1988, in South Korea, Hwang built her career by headlining major music festivals across Asia, including the renowned “S2O Songkran Music Festival.” Her electrifying performances and unique style have earned her a dedicated fanbase worldwide.

Hwang So-hee’s journey as a DJ began in June 2013, marking the start of what would become an illustrious career. By 2015, she was already a key performer at the Korea World DJ Festival, solidifying her status in the industry. The following year, she joined Starship Entertainment’s sublabel, “House of Music,” before transitioning to Highline Entertainment. Her participation in the Ultra Music Festival Korea (UMF) in June 2018 and the release of her hit single “Never Let You In” with Walshy Fire helped cement her global standing. The track became a chart-topper in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, demonstrating her international appeal.

Hwang continued her meteoric rise, performing at notable events such as Singapore’s Typhoon 8 festival in 2019 and World Club Dome: Snow Edition in Switzerland. That same year, she was honored with the Korea Hallyu Award in the indie category, recognizing her contribution to the global spread of Korean music and culture.

Evolution and Continued Impact

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hwang So-hee remained an active force in the EDM world. In 2020, she collaborated with Psycho Boys Club for the single “Over You” and later teamed up with Kryoman and 1st Klase for “Holding Back” featuring KYE. Additionally, her remix of DJ Lost Chameleon’s song received widespread acclaim. That same year, she performed in the Electric Blockaloo virtual dance music festival and showcased her artistry in Highline Entertainment’s special performance, The Color.

In 2021, Hwang So-hee continued to push boundaries, releasing the single “Okay!” featuring Lost Chameleon and Ahin of Momoland. However, by November, she parted ways with Highline Entertainment, signaling the beginning of a new chapter in her career.
